An accomplished composer, conductor and lecturer, multi-award-winner, Eric Whitacre, has quickly become one of the most popular and performed composers of his generation. Many of Whitacre's works have entered the standard choral and symphonic repertories and have become the subject of scholarly works and doctoral dissertations. His pieces are among the most popular choral works of the last decade.

As a conductor, Whitacre has appeared with hundreds of professional and educational ensembles throughout the world. Forthcoming premieres include 'Songs of Immortality', commissioned by the LSC for the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, for first performance in October 2010 (Barbican Centre, London), conducted by Eric Whitacre.

Whitacre's ground-breaking Virtual Choir performance of 'Lux Arumque' on YouTube received over 280,000 views in its first week.
