Julian to premiere Wayne Shorter Clarinet Concerto

Julian is humbled and honoured to premiere a new Clarinet Concerto written for him by jazz legend Wayne Shorter. The work will be performed for the first time with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada on the stage of the Royal Festival Hall in London. The results are in: Attending a concert reduces glucocorticoids, progesterone and the cortisol/DHEA ratio

The results of the study into the physiological impact of attending a concert, researched last year at the Eric Whitacre Singers concerts in London and Cheltenham, have been released. The results proved that there were significant changes in cortisol, cortisone, progesterone, cortisol/DHEA ratio and cortisol/cortisone ratio. This is the first evidence that attending a cultural event can have an impact on endocrine activity and down-regulate stress.
