Submissions for Eric Whitacre’s first-ever Virtual Youth Choir have now closed having received 2292 videos from singers representing 80 countries across the globe. Over 6,500 singers aged 18 and under signed up to the project and, with the help of parents, siblings and teachers, children as young as 2 recorded and submitted their video for the Virtual Youth Choir.

The film, created in association with UNICEF, will be premiered at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. More details about the launch will be released in June.
