On Tuesday 10th June 2014, Eric Whitacre and The King’s Singers will join the BBC Singers for a sold-out performance in one of London’s newest venues, Milton Court. Eric will be conducting several of his much-loved works alongside Morten Lauridsen’s fiendish “Fire Songs”, and music by composer (and former King’s Singer) Bob Chilcott.  Bob also currently holds the position of Chief Guest Conductor of the BBC Singers.   The King’s Singers will perform both Whitacre and Chilcott, including “The Stolen Child” which they co-commissioned from Eric with the National Choirs of Great Britain in 2008, going on to record it on the Decca label and winning a Grammy in 2012.

The event will be broadcast live by the BBC Radio 3 Live in Concert programme at 7:30pm and will be available on BBC iPlayer for a week afterwards.
