Eric Whitacre and the Eric Whitacre Singers have been invited back to perform at the Templeton Prize Ceremony for the second year running. After their performance last year alongside Annie Lennox and the London Gospel Choir, they will take to the stage with double Brit nominee Laura Mvula.

Valued at £1.1 million (about $1.8 million or €1.3 million), the Templeton Prize is one of the world’s largest annual awards given to an individual and honours a living person who has made exceptional contributions to affirming life’s spiritual dimension. This year, the award is being given to Czech priest and philosopher Tomáš Halík.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Wednesday 14th May at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London.
