The King’s Singers are delighted to announce that their first ever Summer School in the U.S. will take place 13 – 19 June 2017, followed 5 weeks later by our next U.K. Summer School 17 – 22 July 2017.

The KS look forward to returning to the stunning and now familiar surrounds of Royal Holloway, University of London for our third U.K. School, and are equally excited to be heading to DePauw University (Indiana) for the inaugural U.S. School. The music department at DePauw is deeply committed to reshaping modern music education, which is reflected in the facilities it offers. One of the first Schools of Music in the United States, in June 2015 the campus was host to the first-ever Global Musician Workshop, led by the phenomenal cellist Yo Yo Ma and members of his renowned Silk Road Ensemble. The group feels honoured and excited to be following in their footsteps on this historic campus.

Ahead of the first U.S. Summer School, Mark McCoy, Dean, DePauw University School of Music says “We are thrilled to partner with one of the world’s best and most-loved musical groups for this unforgettable, life-changing experience. If you love singing, this is the place to be!”

Eric Whitacre, guest workshop leader at the U.K. Summer School 2015, said of his involvement, “It was a pleasure and honor to make music with such passionate and talented singers at the KS Summer School in 2015. The atmosphere in that gorgeous room – the Picture Gallery at Royal Holloway – when we worked on Sleep was truly magical. The King’s Singers are supremely talented guys – legends – and such fun to be around. I’d participate in another KS Summer School again in a heartbeat.”
