On March 5th, Eric Whitacre will collaborate with the Centre for Performance Science, Royal College of Music and Imperial College to lead a voluntary research study investigating the effects of singing on the health and wellbeing of singers and audience members at his concert at Union Chapel, London. The research team will be analysing psychological data, stress hormones in saliva samples, and electrocardiogram data. The research will be continued at second performance at Gloucester Cathedral as part of Cheltenham Music Festival in July 2015 which will include a health symposium.
