The King’s Singers are honoured to be performing for Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain and Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of Greece tonight in the stunning setting of Madrid’s, Teatro Real.

This coming weekend the group will commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Hannoverian succession to the English throne along with the residents of Hannover and visitors to the city.   Performing once again with the Hannover Girls’ Choir, they will sing a new piece from British composer Francis Pott entitled “Hands Across the Darkness”.  Pott has set the words to a Charles Bennett poem along with the words of the Agnus Dei to signify Germany and England’s past turbulent but friendly relationship.
