Eric and his professional choir, The Eric Whitacre Signers returned from their successful debut tour of the East Coast of America with concerts in Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and New York in which they performed the music of Lauridsen, Monteverdi and Bach as well as new arrangements of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ and ‘Enjoy the Silence’, alongside other works by Eric.  The Washington Post described the choir as “clear, effortless instrumental-like runs and great rhythmic integrity” while their performance of Monteverdi’s ‘Sfogava con le stelle as “most impressive, both for choral flexibility and compositional imagination.”  Read the full review by the Washington Post.

Eric is now en route to Australia to give his conducting debut with the Sydney Philharmonic Chorus at the Sydney Opera House, before a 3 day residency at Monash University, Melbourne to lead workshops and rehearsals, concluding in a performance on April 13th.
