The King’s Singers have just launched their new online project and album, Postcards.

The King’s Singers have amassed a wonderful collection of folk songs and popular songs from numerous countries, many of which are used as encores when they visit. These beautiful songs are now being shared in one place together on one album. The first track, a folksong from New Zealand, Pokarekare Ana, is now available on iTunes, the Australian song Botany Bay will be available on iTunes from 3 July and the full album will be available to download on 12 July and released in CD format in October of this year.

Collating these musical treasures from around the world has led to the creation of the Postcards site which allows the group and others to share musical memories as online Postcards in image or video format. Whether this be a favourite song from childhood, a building or landscape that holds a special memory, snapshots from a performance of a new choir or a song your grandmother used to sing to you.

This calendar year has already seen The King’s Singers visit Hungary, the US, Canada, Germany, Poland, England & Scotland, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Before the summer break they will sing in Latvia, Italy, France, England and Germany.
